Lampasas YRE Volksmarch

Two Girl Scouts eager to earn their Lampasas Patch.

Geese on Sulphur Creek.

Old Cemetery.

Crossing Sulphur Creek.

We passed a small alley on the square. This is not on the walk route but it looked interesting. The writing near the bird says "Mother's Day Flood Level 1957". Hard to believe that Sulphur Creek got that far out of it's banks. Glad I wasn't here then. Alley leads to a small park area with a fountain and some picnic tables.

Back on the walk route.

Lampasas County Courthouse.

Ed would like to catch a catfish like this. LOL
Artwork in the park.

Historic Home.

Pretty sunflowers.

Nice home with stained glass windows.

Next year when the mural special program starts.

After finishing the walk we ate ate this small German Restaurant on the courthouse square. Better Bratwurst than we got when we ate at Rohman's in Muenster.

One of many decorations hanging from the ceiling.

Cute pig on the wall.

Translated: Come to the hike.
